Denver's first lady of song, Lannie Garrett, will be crooning in front of her 10-piece AnySwing Goes Band, featuring: Justin Adams on piano (Musical Director); Mike Abbott on guitar; Bob Rebholz on sax and flute; Todd Reid on drums; and Robin Ruscio on bass; with added horn players on New Year's Eve, including Pete Olstad on trumpet, Charlie Smith on trumpet, Mark Harris on baritone sax, and Darren Kramer on trombone.

After Adams warms up the house with his trio, Garrett and the full band will blast off with such favorites as Chick Webb's "Play Me a Swing Song and Make Me Dance" and Stan Kenton's and Anita O'Day's "Kick It," then take you down memory lane with an updated version of Rosemary Clooney's classic "Mambo Italiano" and their gorgeous version of the romantic "Come Rain or Shine." Your blood will be pumping to rockers like Big Joe Turner's "Roll 'Em Pete," Louis Prima's "Oh, Babe!," and the suggestive classic jump/jive "Walk Right In, Walk Right Out." And then there are classics from Basie, Goodman, Ellington, Sinatra (Nelson Riddle arrangements), Harry James, Louis Jordan and more.

Garrett's dynamic range and special gift for selling any song she chooses has attracted a large and continually growing loyal fan base that packs her club whenever she's on the bill with one of her multifaceted shows—including gypsy jazz, movie hits, love songs, and salutes to some of her favorite influences, Frank Sinatra, Edith Piaf, and a host of other great singers and genres.

Topping off all these 1940's era classics for New Year's will be Garrett decked in vampy vintage costumes from her treasured wardrobe.

And yes, there is a CD with many of these favorites!

Sounds like renting a top hat, white tie, and tails would be appropriate for this bash!
